Center Director

Early Edge Education | S.A.M. Singapore Math & Musicologie Location: Millburn, NJ Position: Full Time, On Site, W 2 Compensation: $52,000 to $58,000 total annual compensation, including performance-based bonus

About the Role

You will run a thriving neighborhood learning center where kids build math confidence and a love of music. You will lead the team, welcome the families, and own how the center performs day to day.

Two programs share our Millburn center: S.A.M. Singapore Math and Musicologie. You are the face of both and the person who makes the whole center work. You report directly to the owners and have real authority to make decisions, try new ideas, and shape how the center grows.

This is first and foremost a sales and customer focused leadership role. Your number one priority will be turning leads into visits, visits into enrollments, and new families into long term customers. You will spend significant time following up with prospective families, conducting tours and assessments, and having enrollment conversations.

You will also oversee daily operations, manage the teaching team, support staff, and ensure an excellent experience for every family across both S.A.M. Singapore Math and Musicologie.

You do not need to be a musician or a math teacher. We will provide training on our programs.

• Follow up with leads by phone, text, and email and consistently move prospects toward a visit or enrollment.

• Conduct tours, assessments, and enrollment conversations with prospective families.

• Understand each family’s needs, explain the value of our programs, and confidently ask for the enrollment.

• Follow up with families after assessments and with past or inactive leads.

• Track leads, appointments, conversions, and enrollment goals using our CRM and scheduling systems.

• Build relationships with families and create a welcoming experience that encourages long term enrollment.

Operations, Team and Customer Experience

• Oversee the daily operation of the center, including schedules, classrooms, supplies, and logistics.

• Hire, onboard, schedule, train, coach, and manage teachers and staff.

• Delegate effectively and create clear ownership so that you are not the bottleneck for every decision or problem.

• Address performance issues and maintain a positive, accountable team environment.

• Solve day to day problems and make sure the center runs smoothly.

• Respond to parent questions and concerns with professionalism, ownership, and urgency.

• Help improve student retention and overall customer satisfaction.

Growth and Community

• Support local marketing, promotions, open houses, concerts, math competitions, and community events.

• Build relationships with local schools, organizations, and community partners.

• Identify opportunities to bring new families into the center and increase enrollment.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 3 years of professional experience, preferably in sales, customer service, management, education, hospitality, retail, fitness, childcare, or a similar environment.

• A confident communicator who is comfortable making phone calls, following up consistently, and selling without being pushy.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

• Leadership or team management experience.

• Strong problem solving skills and a willingness to take ownership.

• Comfortable using CRM, scheduling, and business software. Training will be provided.

• A positive, energetic personality and the ability to build strong relationships with families and staff.

• You do not need to be a math or music expert.

Schedule

• Full time, on site, 40 hours per week.

• Typical workday is 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, or 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM with a lunch break, based on your preference.

• Sunday is generally a day off.

• Occasional Sunday work is required for concerts, special events, and other center activities.

• When Sunday work is required, you can flex your other days during the same week so that your total schedule remains 40 hours.

• This is a 40 hour per week, full time W 2 position and does not qualify for overtime.

Compensation and Benefits

• $52,000 to $58,000 total annual compensation, including performance based bonus.

• Health insurance.

• Paid time off.

• Paid onboarding and ongoing training.

• Direct access to the owners.

• Opportunity to grow with a growing local business.
