General Manager / Studio Manager
At Musicologie we know everyone deserves a great teacher. We have more than a decade of experience delivering simply delightful music lessons to thousands of students across the country.
The General Manager is a central figure in the day-to-day operation of a Musicologie Studio. They are the primary on-site leader responsible for ensuring the studio meets Musicologie's brand standards and providing an excellent experience for students, parents, and teachers.
This role significantly influences business building, customer satisfaction, lesson quality, staff retention, and the studio's financial performance. It requires dedication to learning and implementing the Musicologie system and fostering a vibrant studio community.
As the General Manager you’ll:
- Oversee daily operations of the studio directed by and in collaboration with the studio owner.
- Be present as a friendly face for students and teachers at the studio during open hours, especially peak hours 3:30-7:30pm Mon-Thurs.
- Respond to new student inquiries via phone, text and email.
- Use Musicologie’s scheduling system to book lessons for students.
- Communicate with students and teachers about scheduling, policies, events, and initiatives.
- Collect payment information from students.
- Keep the studio, bathroom and lesson rooms clean and presentable.
- Order supplies, materials and merchandise necessary for studio operation.
- Plan, organize and conduct events and concerts.
- Use Musicologie's audition and interview system to hire, train and coach teachers.
- Use Musicologie marketing systems to promote and grow the studio.

- An expert communicator in person, over the phone and via email
- Detail oriented, cool under pressure and able to pivot between tasks easily
- Tech savvy
- Able to work evening hours
You have:
- Sales experience, customer service experience, or similar
- Experience leading a team
- Knowledge of schedule management and collaboration
- Knowledge of sales
